Davis, then a student at the University of North Carolina, while he served in the United States Army, stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C.; Camp Lee, Va.; the Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, Va.; Camp Polk, La.; Holabird Signal Depot in Baltimore, Md.; New York, N.Y., and in France. Edge's love letters discuss literature and music and describe camp life and military training. Also included are one letter and one greeting card from Edge's mother to Davis.
